Membership Application
We’d love to have you join the fun, but there are a few things you need to know first.
To fly a radio-controlled (RC) aircraft at the Phelan RC Flying Club,
You must be a Model Aeronautics Association of Canada (MAAC) member. You can purchase a membership at www.maac.ca.
You must have at least a Transport Canada Basic RPAS pilot certificate, and your models must be registered with Transport Canada. For more certification information, please visit MAAC’s Transport Canada Resource page.
Membership Fee Structure
If you have an Open MAAC membership (Adult), the fee in the first year is $500.
If you have a MAAC Junior membership, the fee in the first year is $230.
If you join late in the season, after September 30th, your first-year fee covers you until the end of the following year.
Annual membership fees are due by December 31 in the years following your first year membership expiry. The current fee is $230.
